Sex workers' portraits in the Old Church of Amsterdam
Former sex worker Mariska Majoor has visited together with her daughter Robin dozens of countries to speak to sex workers and activists that stand up for the rights of sex workers.
Robin made photo portraits of the sex workers for their book 'United under a red umbrella' to show the struggle for sex workers' rights throughout the world to be respected, understood and accepted by society.
A selection of the portraits will be exhibited in the Old Church of Amsterdam located in the heart of the Red Light District from the 21st till the 29th of July.
The exhibition is located in the sacristy room of the Old Church. You can enter the exhibition through the 'Koffieschenkerij', just around the main entrance of the church. The entrance for the exhibition is free.
